A Newcastle security technology business will grow with a ?500,000 investment
The North East Venture Fund (NEVF) has awarded a six-figure grant to a North East firm to help them build a keyless security system.
ATM Security, situated in Newcastle, has received ?500,000 in finance to expand its management team and launch its next product.
CentraLock, the company’s most recent innovation, allows utility companies to control access to all of their facilities from a single place while allowing authorised maintenance personnel to enter by mobile phone.
Rob Todd, the founder of ATM Security, believes that the CentraLock will secure and create hundreds of jobs in the North East.
Rob stated, “The United Kingdom has over 400,000 substations, the bulk of which are still accessed with antiquated keys that are easily lost, stolen, or not returned.” CentraLock represents a quantum leap forward in utility security.
“It not only helps to prevent unauthorised access, but it also protects maintenance staff who regularly work alone in remote locations. We believe there is a vast global market potential”.
Mercia’s investment manager, James Allsopp, stated, “Rob has an established track record of innovation, and with CentraLock, he has created an innovative Security guard hire Newcastle offering.
We are always keen to support entrepreneurs that use technology to disrupt established markets, and we look forward to working with him to bring the product to market”.
